Golden Gate Japanese GardensThis unregistered hybrid of the species R. dichroanthum was found growing in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, and since it was an exceptional plant, it was named 'Golden Gate'. This plant grows into a compact shrub of 3 4 ft. tall, and prefers more sun than shade here along the Pacific Coast.
